What is AI Audio Overview Generator?
A tool that converts static material into podcast-style audio, powered by Google NotebookLM Audio Overviews. Upload PDFs, web pages, video or audio as sources and get a two-host discussion. Input: documents or links. Output: a listenable audio overview.
Is it free and what are the limits?
NotebookLM offers a permanently free Standard tier: 100 notebooks, 50 sources per notebook, 50 chat queries per day, 3 audio overviews and 3 video overviews per day, and 10 deep research sessions per month, with no credit card and no trial.
How large can a source be?
Each source is capped at 500,000 words or 200MB, whichever comes first, identically on every plan. Copy-protected PDFs cannot be imported at all.
What does the generated audio sound like?
It is a conversational walkthrough between two AI hosts rather than a verbatim read-out, pulling out the through-line and connecting background knowledge. You can choose the language and pick a short, default or long length.
Can I steer what it focuses on?
Yes. You can add a custom prompt before generating to steer the hosts toward a topic or angle, and afterwards use interactive mode to ask questions that are answered from the same sources in real time.
When do the daily limits reset?
Per Google's documentation, quotas reset on a rolling 24-hour window counted from your first use of that feature on the day, not at local midnight.
