Features
- ✓ Skills are reusable instructions and context written by domain experts; each applies the statute, regulation and agency guidance that govern the task, so standard operating procedures travel with the work
- ✓ Partner agents are prebuilt by public sector software providers, handling tasks such as FOIA discovery and batch redaction with a person approving each consequential step
- ✓ A governed control plane sets and enforces policy across every agent with VPC Service Controls, CMEK and Assured Workloads, while outputs are grounded in source documents with citations reviewers can follow
- ✓ Covered workflows include redaction for public release, document validation at intake and plain-language notices aligned to the Plain Writing Act of 2010, USDA-FNS standards and Title VI language access guidance
- ✓ Initially in preview for US federal, state and local governments; Google says the State of Missouri and the US Department of Health and Human Services are already using it
How to Use
- Confirm your agency can run on the FedRAMP High Gemini platform and request preview access
- Pick the government Skills that fit and connect Gemini to existing case management, ERP and collaboration systems

FAQ
Is this generally available or still preview?
Google describes it as a preview, initially for US federal, state and local governments, and says select federal and state agencies already use it, including the State of Missouri and HHS.
Will my data be used to train models?
Google states that agency records, constituent data, institutional documents, custom agents and model outputs stay private to the organisation and are never used to train or fine-tune its foundation models without permission.
Which government skills ship built in?
Google lists policy search, plain-language notices, document intake and validation, FOIA compliance, redaction, RFP vendor evaluation and expense auditing, with built-in agents for FOIA and public records discovery plus FOIA document redaction.
How far does compliance and governance go?
It runs on a FedRAMP High Gemini platform with HIPAA and personal data protections, and the control plane adds VPC Service Controls, CMEK and Assured Workloads, with risk management, audit logging and governance native to the architecture.
Does it connect to the systems agencies already run?
Yes. Google says it connects directly to existing case management, ERP and collaboration systems of record, backed by an open partner ecosystem of system integrators and public sector ISVs for customisation without lock-in.
