FAQ
What is HeyClicky?
A Mac-native desktop AI assistant founded in 2026 by Farza Majeed as part of Y Combinator's Spring 2026 batch. It sits next to your cursor, works by voice, sees what is on screen to guide you, and can spawn background agents to do tasks.
Does it cost money?
The official site offers a free way to try it right away. Whether it moves to a paid subscription should be checked against the pricing published on heyclicky.com.
How is it different from Cursor?
Cursor targets developers writing code; HeyClicky targets everyday users with voice-first, zero-setup interaction. It watches your screen to teach you software, research things and delegate agent work rather than editing code in an IDE.
Does it see everything on my screen?
It needs screen recording permission to see your interface, which is exactly what enables the pointing guidance. Pause it around passwords and banking pages, and read the official privacy documentation.
Is there a Windows version?
The main product is a Mac-native app. A community port called clicky-windows exists, but its features and maturity differ from the official Mac build — check the official site for supported platforms.
