FAQ

What is an AI Subtitle Format Converter?

An online subtitle format conversion tool. Input: subtitle files in SRT, VTT, ASS, SSA, TTML, DFXP formats. Output: target-format subtitle files with timeline and styles preserved. Processing happens in your browser.

Which subtitle formats are supported?

Over 10 formats including SRT, VTT, ASS, SSA, TTML, DFXP, SCC, STL and JSON, covering major video editing software and video platforms.

Will ASS styles be lost after conversion?

When converting to plain-text formats like SRT/VTT, style tags are converted or downgraded per the target format spec, while text and timeline are fully preserved. ASS to SSA conversions keep styles intact.

Does it support batch conversion?

Yes. Upload up to 20 subtitle files at once, convert them in batch, and download results packaged by original filename — ideal for full-season subtitle processing.

How are encoding issues handled?

The tool auto-detects file encoding and attempts repair. GBK/GB2312 source files are converted to UTF-8 automatically to avoid garbled Chinese characters.

Will the timeline change?

No. Conversion keeps millisecond-level timeline precision and only maps formats. A built-in +/- time offset feature is available for global timeline adjustments.

Are my files uploaded to a server?

Subtitle files are used only for format conversion and deleted from the server immediately after processing. Cloud processing enables complex format parsing, but no copies are retained.
